FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND - US TOUR CANCELLATION - 28.11.2005 -- Posted by rock3 on Tuesday, November 29 2005
Due to unforeseen circumstances Funeral For A Friend are forced to cancel their
upcoming US tour.

Drummer Ryan Richards has a stomach infection and doctors have informed him that
he needs to rest and cannot travel. It is unfortunately too last minute for the
band to get a replacement drummer for December so they are cancelling the US
run. Funeral will return to the States as part of the Taste of Chaos Tour in
February 2006.

Funeral will not be playing the shows but some may be kept open for A Static
Lullaby & Hopesfall. Check locally for info. Otherwise refunds available from
point of purchase.

Message from the band:
"Unfortunately Ryan has been ill and needs treatment here in the UK to remedy
his illness, this means that we will be unable to play the shows we had in place
along the east coast of the USA and Canada this November/December. We are very,
very sorry about this but we want Ryan to get better. We were all looking
forward to this tour and meeting up with the friends we have made so far on our
trips to the USA but when it comes to situations like this we made a conscious
decision that Ryan should be allowed to recover. We truly hope that everyone
will understand this, we appreciate all of our fans and all of their commitment
to us and we promise to come back even stronger in the new year for the Taste of
Chaos US tour.

But you can still hear FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND ON THE ROCK 3 AND ROCKBOX STATIONS UNTILL YOU CATCH THEM LIVE

From the Sea of Tranquillity website

..."Andy Sneap's production makes things only better and this disc will takes its place in his ever-growing list of works. The sound is far larger than the average metal release out there and embodies controlled chaos and a very precise vision of songwriting. This disc should be right up there with Strapping Young Lad's Alien and Nevermore's This Godless Endeavor, two of the year's best metal releases."

‘A spiky antidote to sanitised mainstream rock’ kerrang

Storming out of Essex come the most visceral and energetic noisemakers you’ve heard in a long, long time. Engerica are David Gardner (guitar/vocals), Michael Stuart Webster (bass) and Neil Ross Gregory (drums).

Formed in 2000, this innovative and original band have created an army of fans throughout the country with their rocket fuelled live shows supporting Reuben, Million Dead and Sum 41. They have received rave reviews for their thumping performances at the summer festivals including Download and Truck; debut Sanctuary single ‘My Demise’, has been similarly lauded by fans and critics alike.

Engerica bring new and exciting ideas to the British music scene, powerful and precise riff laden tunes mix with intelligent and immediate lyrics to make an instantly addictive whirlwind of music. Roadkill takes no prisoners; from the very first chord this is a thrusting, powerful and enthralling song that captures a band on the brink of stardom.

‘Roadkill’ will be released on 24th October 2005 in CD1, CD2 and limited edition vinyl formats. Tracks featured across the formats are ‘Detective Show’, ‘Now or Never’, ‘A Cure For Living’ and ‘Stupid’.

Please take a few minutes of your time to help out Season's End and vote for
them in this year's Terrorizer reader's poll. We are mainly interested in the
"Best Newcomer of 2005" category but of course please feel free to vote for the
band in any of the others too! Please also vote Bloodstock 2005 as the "Biggest
Musical Event of 2005". You can vote either by sending in the form from this
month's magazine or by going to the website and completing the questionnaire via
the following link:

Terror - UK Gig News -- Posted by rock3 on Tuesday, November 1 2005
TERROR bring the purest hardcore attitude to their music. Their brutal, stripped-down, uncompromising, sweat-soaked stomp of an album, ‘One With The Underdogs’ has won them fans and followers across the globe, thanks to the genuine power transmitted by their songs and the California band’s relentless, hard-working approach to playing shows. Now, their UK fans get a bite and can catch their heroes at the following shows in January 2006;

Sat 21st Jan – Newport City Live Arena - £9 (www.wayahead.com)
Sun 22nd Jan – Milton Keynes The Pitz - £8 (www.wegottickets.com)
Mon 23rd Jan – Aberdeen Moshulu - £8 (www.seetickets.com)
Tue 24th Jan - Manchester Jilly’s Musicbox - £8 (www.ticketline.co.uk)
Wed 25th Jan – Norwich Waterfront - £9 (www.ueaticketbookings.co.uk)
Thu 26th Jan – London Underworld - £11 (www.seetickets.com)
Support comes from Blacklisted and Donnybrook.

Hardcore has lived and breathed in many people and through myriad bands. It has weathered fads and trends, yet will continue to outlast whatever the world will throw at it. Why? Because there has always been a band to fly the flag for its true spirit and carry it forward. From Agnostic Front to Madball, Cro-Mags to Sick of It All. Today that band is Terror. Long may they reign.

“This is how hardcore is supposed to sound” – Kerrang! magazine
