Their sixth studio album, it is by far Fear Factory’s most explorative to date, breaking new ground and challenging preconceptions, and also includes not one but two of Fear Factory’s legendary cover versions, with U2 and Killing Joke getting the LA cyber-metal treatment.
In recent months, Burton and co. have been on tour in the US, most notably on the Gigantour with Megadeth, Dream Theater and Anthrax, after being hand picked by Dave Mustaine himself.

The diverse and multicultural communities of Merseyside - and everywhere in Britain, must stand together against racism and defend our right to live in peace.
A host of acts expressed support for our call for a music show to celebrate our multicultural society and show unity in opposing racism in Merseyside and beyond - the response was phenomenal.
This re-scheduled event hopes to follow on from the success of the large anti-racism festival in Toxeth in early September. Organised by Merseyside Coalition Against Racism and Fascism and Merseyside TUC, the free festival saw performances by bands like Ladytron, the 747’s, Pete Wylie, and Anthony’s Uncle Shiloh’s reggae band Jaheeanko perform to a thousand strong united black and white audience.
Love Music Hate Racism aims to use the positive energy of the music scene to fight back against racism and fascist groups like the BNP. Music unites us and gives us strength while racism seeks only to divide and weaken us.
All profits from the concert will go to the Anthony Walker Memorial Fund.

CHARGER * 3 STAGES OF PAIN * BLACKEYE RIOT * LAZARUS BLACKSTAR -- Posted by rock3 on Monday, October 17 2005
THE ASBO TOUR HITS THE UK!!
featuring the following reprobates:
CHARGER * 3 STAGES OF PAIN * BLACKEYE RIOT * LAZARUS BLACKSTAR
Stoke sluggers Charger, Sheffield bruisers 3 Stages Of Pain, Welsh power
violence outlaws Blackeye Riot and Bradford doomsters Lazarus Blackstar hit the
road in November for what is set to be the most devastatingly heavy bunch of
shows the UK has seen for aeons.
Since last seen touring with My Ruin, Charger have been busy writing a new album
with new vocalist Martin Ives. A taster of which will be 'The Amputee', which is
going to be available alongside new material from Blackeye Riot on a
horrendously limited 7" released through Ives' own label Calculated Risk.
3 Stages of Pain recently toured the UK with The Letters Organize and Kylesa in
the last two months to celebrate the release of the band's second album 'Black
Heart Blues' which is out now.
Blackeye Riot venture out of their Swansea hometown and are set to create havoc
with their extreme power violence. Their debut album 'No Hope, No Future, No
Worries' is out now.
The ultra heavy Lazarus Blackstar - featuring the unique vocal talents of Paul
Catten - have just released their debut album 'Revelations' to critical acclaim
and even BBC Radio One airplay!!
Joining the bands in Manchester and Leeds will be new Calculated Risk bands Art
of Burning Water and Birds Of Paradise.
Of the tour, Ives said: "We've painstakingly put this package together to
achieve maximum sensory overload, four sickeningly heavy bands in a sweaty,
claustrophobic environment, which coincidentally allows us to cohabit with some
of our dearest and oldest friends."
Wrecking a town near you:

Susperia Hit the Charts -- Posted by rock3 on Thursday, October 13 2005
S U S P E R I A ARE PLAYED ON THE EXTREME STREAM RADIO
www.susperia.net
PRESS RELEASE
Oslo, Norway 12th October 2005
SUSPERIA HIT TOP 20
OSLO,NORWAY - Melodic metallers SUSPERIA, have taken their heavy sounds to the masses in their native Norway with the release of their new EP 'Devil May Care'. The band entered the singles charts for the first time in their career last week when the EP made it's debut at Number 21 on Norway's Official 'Hit List'. The EP has climbed a further two places to Number 19 in the past seven days. As a result, the band have created history by becoming the first home grown act in the metal genre to achieve a Top 20 hit in the country. In the process they have caused a stir among the pop orientated releases that usually dominates the Norwegian charts. The band currently lie between Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson in a chart that also contains Depeche Mode and Robbie Williams.
Bass guitarist Memnock commented with a wry grin that "It's nice to be the thorn between two roses. On a serious note though, this is a great achievement for Susperia and it's good to see that Norwegian metal acts are being recognised by a wider audience. It's nice to make the popstars feel a little uncomfortable once in a while"
'Devil May Care' was released in Europe through TABU Recordings as a special edition CD. The EP features a combination of original and cover songs that have been drawn from various recording sessions.Tracks appearing on the release are the 'Unlimited' album track 'Devil May Care’, new song 'Venting The Anger' and three covers, 'Lack Of Comprehension' originally recorded by Death, 'Wild Child' originally recorded by WASP and a version of 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' - a worldwide hit for fellow Norwegians A-Ha. As an added bonus the release contains the promo videos for 'Chemistry' and 'Devil May Care' as well as screensavers, wallpapers and booklet picture gallery. The EP was completed at StrandStudio in Oslo, Norway. Production duties were handled by the band and engineered by Marius Strand
SUSPERIA have gone from strength to strength since the release 2004's critically acclaimed album 'Unlimited', which was recognised with a nomination in the "Metal" category of Norway's prestigious Alarm Awards. Sales of the CD have gone on to exceed those of the bands' previous albums which were released through the Nuclear Blast label. A tour with Bay area thrash legends Testament on their Reunion tour earlier this year further boosted the bands profile.
The band - Athera (vocals), Elvorn and Cyrus (guitars) Memnock (bass guitar), Tjodalv (drums) - have a live show lined up at the John Dee, Oslo Norway on Saturday 22nd October. Support comes from Mindgrinder. A European tour is currently being lined up for December to promote the release of 'Devil May Care'. Details will be announced shortly.

FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND - NEW RELEASE -- Posted by rock3 on Thursday, October 13 2005
Funeral For A Friend release the third single from their massively successful
'Hours' album on Nov 14 2005. Entitled 'History', it will be available on
Atlantic Records.
Funeral For A Friend have proved to be one of the most exciting and successful
exponents of the post millennial rock renaissance. Spanning the divide between
rock, pop and metal, they have constantly strived to expand on their
considerable achievements this year. (60,000 album sales in just 2 weeks for the
'Hours' album... tearing up on Top Of The Pops for their FOURTH consecutive top
20 single... a barnstorming mainstage performance at Reading/Leeds... winning
Best UK Band at the Kerrang Awards... etc etc).
The video accompanying the 'History' single is based around the heartrending
effects of the miner's strikes in the mid eighties. As the band explain, this is
a subject with special resonance for them:
"The members of Funeral for a Friend have all grown up within the hills and
mountains of small mining communities in South Wales. The events of the miner
strikes of the mid eighties hit heavily in our areas and some of us had family
members who were deeply involved in it, whether it was fathers or uncles who
worked the mines or close family friends, it affected our families deeply.
We chose this concept for the video because of its very close ties to our
backgrounds when we were growing up (although most of us were way too young at
the time to fully understand what was going on around us). So we felt a strong
tie to link the song History (a song about triumph over adversity and standing
up for what you believe in) with these themes.
Funeral is not a political band by any means, but we have a history through our
families and the mining communities we grew up in, so we felt it appropriate to
highlight this with the video."
The 'History' single and video both serve to highlight the depth and maturity
that Funeral For A Friend have achieved as an artistic entity. Eschewing bombast
and bravado for subtle melodic interplay and sincere lyricism, 'History'
showcases a band who have seamlessly transcended their genre limitations. It is
a very special track from a very special band.
The Welsh quintet will also headline the 'Taste Of Chaos' tour across the UK
this autumn. After taking on Japan, Australia and mainland Europe, they head to
the UK for the following shows:
6th Nov Manchester Apollo
7th Nov Doncaster Dome
8th Nov Birmingham NIA
9th Nov Glasgow SECC

Visit Whoremoan
Fed on a heavy diet of Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Monster Magnet, with a big side order of Sebadoh & Motorpsycho, Whoremoan create a sound so loud & heavy it'll make your teeth hurt. Powerful bass & drums pound a groove that hooks you instantly, leaving plenty of room for the guitars to follow or wander as they wish, creating a dynamic experience that launches you off the planet. With screaming lyrics thrown on top in huge lumps, the vocals are not so much a lead, as another instrument to add volume & power, & instrumental fills that take the songs into a new space, before being launched back at you even more violently than before. They have recently released their debut US CD "Youth Must Dare" from which "Hit & Run" is taken. Be sure to check out these guys, they're a hottly tipped English success.

No Hope (astronaut) - Gig News -- Posted by rock3 on Friday, October 7 2005
Just a quick update. Firstly we have a show this Monday at the Star in Guildford. We're on at 8.30 and its £4. Also playing are Mercury Tilt Switch who you may remember. We havent played in awhile and we'll be debuting some new songs.
The reason we havent been playing many shows is because we've been busy writing said tunes which has been taking up all our time. It'll be worth it though!! There's a tour in the offing, likely to be mid-late Nov and after that we'll be going back into the studio to lay down some of these babies!
The footage from our set at Julys Create Fest is in our hands and we'll have something up on the site soon. We're back at Ashford Rcoks early next year, probabaly Jan.
We took down our messageboard as it was gathering dust and cobwebs. Many of you probably know how hard those things are to get going! You can always leave us a message on our bussling myspace page www.myspace.com/nohopeastronaut We check it often (almost obsessively). If you havent joined yet the you probably should or risk dying alone.
As always check www.nohopeastronaut for news etc.

Djevara - Gig News -- Posted by rock3 on Wednesday, October 5 2005
Hey peeps,
We'd like to invite you to mark down Thursday 13th Oct
(Eve) in your
diaries/calendars/posh-mobile-thingummijigs 'cos
Djevara have been invited to play at a special
LIVE SHOWCASE @
VIRGIN MEGASTORE, OXFORD ST (LONDON)
and we'd like y'all to be there!
Need we say more?
Well, ok then...
Virgin are putting on the show to coincide with the
anniversary of John Peel (yes, yes, the irony of
Virgin Megawhores claiming to be champions of the
underground does not escape me either! but who
cares!). Also features: Hundred Handed, Septembre
This promises to be seriously awesome so come on, it'd
be great to see as many of the extended Djev' family
(esp the North London underground supporters) there as
possible! There's a special surprise as well... so
it's all promising to be ultra memorable! Also, it's
completely free and in the easiest place to
get to in London so there's really no excuse!
and... NO AGE LIMIT! :-)
So, we look forward to seein' y'all there then, and
the look on the manager's face when we convert the
biggest entertainment store in the world into
Djev'-Rock Central. I can barely wait! :-)
Bass & The Gang
PS we actually do have some other news coming soon but
it'll wait...
PPS this is our last UK date before our first European
Tour! Wish us luck!
... This email was sent to you by Djevara (UK) ...

THREE INCHES OF BLOOD CONFIRM DECEMBER DATES UK TOUR -- Posted by rock3 on Wednesday, October 5 2005
"Twas two weeks before Christmas, and all through the land
3 INCHES OF BLOOD fans were dreaming of the band.
Black studded wristbands ready and polished with care;
Excited that six tour dates were about to be there.
Metalheads pictured being snug in the pit
With visions of water bottles and showerings of spit.
My schedule complete, having turned off the Mac
I’d just settled down for a long playing track.
When out in the front I heard such a clatter
I busted my ass to see what was the matter.
I ran to the window to see what was there
And what I saw out there straightened my hair.
The moon on the breast of the uncaring snow
Threw ominous shadows on objects below.
Was the vision I saw a delusion from Xanax?
Six brawny warriors wielding guitars, drums, and axes.
With a gaunt, shrouded driver, who filled me with fear
And eight skeletal creatures that might have been deer.
To perform in our towns, they announced they came
Then Cam snarled, and he shouted, and called them by name:
“To Newport! To Norwich!
Aberdeen and to Leeds!
To Manchester and London with our trusty steeds!
We’ll play Destroy The Orcs!
And Axes Of Evil!
Wykydtron! Balls Of Ice!
Prepare to thrill!”
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
So up to the roof-top the courses they flew,
With the sleigh full of kit, and St. Cam Pipes too.
And then, even more rock, I heard on the roof
The clicking and scratching of each bonewhite hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney did come St. Cam Pipes with a bound.
He was dressed all in black from his head to his toe,
And a chain ran from his shoulder to regions below.
A patched denim jacket was flung on his back,
And he looked like a heretic freed from the rack.
His eyes, how they flashed! His smile, full of cheer.
He staggered right in, and his breath smelled of beer;
He gripped my hand displaying wristbands of spikes -
And the rest of the band was attired alike.
A portable mike he held tight in his hand;
As he and Jamie bellowed metal at the band,
Alexei bangin’ like a madman possessed,
Justin, Shane, and Brian shredding like men blessed.
The band played so loud, albums fell from my shelf,
Metal so mighty, almost bad for your health.
Announcing Himsa their touring companions to be,
December’s UK tour will be a must see.
They did but one song and went straight to their task,
Left some ‘Advance And Vanquish’ merch before I could ask.
Then Cam raised his axe, and his elbow he bent,
And with a loud crash, through the ceiling they went.
They sprang to the tour-sleigh and let out a shout
And away they went to rock ‘til folks passed out;
Until ‘The Phantom Of The Crimson Cloak’ comes in sight
Go see 3IOB – it will be a good night!
Catch the Canadian battle metallers with Himsa at these dates:
Thu 8th Dec - NEWPORT City Live Arena
