PITCHSHIFTER Are Back From The Dead With FREE NEW MUSIC For Their Fans
Long-standing UK underground cult heroes Pitchshifter are back with a vengeance
and they come bearing sweet gifts.
When and Where
**********************
Pitchshifter will be returning to the UK live circuit in March of 2006 (after a
2 year hiatus) with their 'Back From The Dead' Tour at the following venues:
Tue 21 Mar: Glasgow QMU
Wed 22 Mar: Manchester Academy 2 (Drummer Jason Bowld's Birthday Show)
Thu 23 Mar: Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
Fri 24 Mar: London Astoria (Singer J.S.'s Birthday Show)
Sat 25 Mar: Nottingham Rock City
What’s New
**************
Every single ticket buying fan will get a FREE new Pitchshifter 6 track CD put
in their hands at the show. You read that right:FREE NEW PITCHSHIFTER MATERIAL.
The new Pitchshifter 6 track EP entitled 'All For One And None For All' features
the first new material since 2001's 'PSI' album. The CD features 2 brand new
previously unreleased Pitchshifter songs, 3 brand new previously unreleased
remixes and one special treat. There is no plan at this time for PSI Records to
release the EP commercially. This is a strictly limited edition numbered CD.
Why
******
Says J.S. Clayden Pitchshifter frontman and PSI Records agent provocateur:
"What's the use of owning your own record label if you can't give stuff away to
your own fanbase? We've missed touring and we've missed the rabid UK fans. Our
birthdays are the perfect excuse for a tour, and a tour is a perfect excuse to
record some new material. It's great to give something back to the fans for
their continued loyalty, and what better way than new tunes for free?"
Who
******
Skindred will be main support for London and Nottingham. Murder 1 will open.
Murder 1 will be special guests for all other shows

single to be taken from the critically acclaimed, gold selling 'Hours' album.
The band head out on tour in support of the single for their LAST UK DATES OF
2006!!! The tour is already completely sold-out, so it promises to be a
spectacular end to the campaign.
Dates are:
Feb 2 Keele Uni (supp by. My Awesome Compilation)
Feb 3 Reading Hexagon (supp by. Blood Roses)
Feb 5 Exeter University (supp by. Days In December)
Feb 6 Bristol Academy (supp by. Days In December)
Feb 7 Liverpool University Academy (supp by. Beyond All Reason)
Feb 8 London Shepherds Bush Empire (plus unannounced special guests)
Feb 10 London Hammersmith Palais (plus unannounced special guests)
Feb 11 Newcastle Academy (supp by. Eta Carinae)
Feb 12 Edinburgh Corn Exchange (supp by. Eta Carinae)
The single, entitled 'Roses For The Dead', it is a deeply personal song for
frontman Matt Davies, dealing as it does with profound personal loss.
"Losing friends and family is hard, no one ever knows how to deal with it," Matt
explains, " I coped by writing my grief down on paper - this is what came out.
Sometimes we can overlook the things that are important to us until they're
taken away. Certain events in my life made me appreciate how lucky I am to be
here now and doing the things I do even more. It's a blessing to be able to feel
and love so much, and I intend to make the most of my life while it's still
being lived."
